Dlife Mission Project Possibilities
Below are a number of possible mission projects that could be adapted for your Dlife group to take on. Our goal is to have at least two mission projects during the course of the year. The projects listed below are offered as an aid but feel free to come up with your own mission project. Remember that at the core of all our mission projects we want to at minimum read a Bible passage, pray with them, and invite them to church.
Nursing Home / Assisted Living
• Contact McClellan Assisted Living (One of our members live here) 256-403-6808 or NHC 256-831-5730 to set up a time & ask for ideas & if your plan is acceptable.
• Do an activity & include a brief Bible study & time of prayer requests & prayer.
• Activity ideas: manicures, bingo, card game, talking while making a craft (birdhouse/greeting cards).
Marching Band or Athletic Team Competitions/Practices
• Ask leader ahead if you can come, when would be the best time, & if you can read a Bible passage, pray & invite them to church.
• Hand out popsicles or gatorade & water during a break or at the end.
• Read a Bible passage, pray for them & invite them to church.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
• Contact Cole Limbaugh 256-872-3151 to get connected for one time mission opportunities for your group through FCA.
• Consider serving at one of their summer sports camps, or hosting and feeding a team during their season, having someone give a testimony, read Scripture & pray (consider splitting them into groups & having each person in your group lead a group in prayer).
Practical Needs at Homes of Church Members or Unchurched Neighbors
• Contact family member, ask what greatest need is or tell them one you were made aware of, ask for permission to come.
• Build a wheelchair ramp, landscaping project, clean gutters, haul off junk/trash, clean/organize, etc.
• Take time to talk with the family, asking how they are doing spiritually & how you can pray for them, read Scripture with them & have a time of prayer (invite to church if unchurched).
First Responders / Healthcare Workers
• Ask leader when would be a time where shift is together for a meeting.
• Ask if you can come at that time to bring a meal or snacks/drinks.
• Ask if you can read a Bible passage, ask for prayer requests, pray, & invite to church.
Evangelistic Event
• Plan a fun event for your group (hunting/fishing trip, dinner & a movie, mountain biking, pool party, playdate for moms/kids, go to or host sporting event, crafting party, BBQ & corn hole, manicures/ pedicures, etc.).
• Invite unchurched or non-christian friends & make sure at least one comes.
• Have a really short Bible study & end by asking for prayer requests & pray.
Habitat for Humanity
• Contact local Calhoun Cleburne Habitat for Humanity 256-237-3700.

• Go volunteer, meet the owners, read an encouraging, gospel focused Scripture with them during a break, pray with them & invite them to church.
Homeless Ministry
• Contact Martha’s Hope Homeless Shelter 245-954-7244.

• Eat & talk with the people once the meal is served; pray with individuals.
• COTC’s Meals of Mercy fund will pay for the food, just turn in a receipt with a filled out reimbursement form.
Feed the Hungry
• Provide groceries for a needy family or individual in COTC or unchurched family/individual in the community.
• Go as a group to buy groceries, provide food from your own harvests (hunting, fishing, gardening, livestock produce like eggs/milk/etc.).
